page0-WCSD Technology Logo.jpgThe Whittier City School District Technology Department is responsible for all district technology planning, implementation and maintenance. The current network spans 15 locations with approximately 2500 computers, and 30 Servers. Each site is connected to the District Office through a wireless P2P network. This network is used to keep student information and attendance files current.

This network also provides filtered Internet access, a Voice over IP phone system, and e-mail to all staff.

The Whittier City School District would like to congratulate Rolland Kornblau on his election to the CETPA Board of Directors as Director at Large.  CETPA ( California Educational Technology Professionals Association ) was founded in 1960 with its aim to improve the public education system with a strong emphasis on Administrative Information Processing within the State of California.   The organization fosters a spirit of innovation and professional development in its membership and strives to better the public education system with ongoing support to members and meet the technological needs of the Instructional Program with a vision of “Shaping the Future of Education Through Technology”.  Mr. Kornblau strives to be one of the top Educational Technology Leaders in California and we are proud to have him on the WCSD Management Team!
